Overview
The American Immigration Law Foundation (AILF) and we at Tindall & Foster, P.C. are proud to sponsor the “Celebrate America” Creative Writing Contest in an ongoing effort to educate the public about the benefits of immigration to our society.

The “Celebrate America” Creative Writing Contest challenges fifth graders across the country to reflect on and write about the theme, “Why I Am Glad America Is a Nation of Immigrants”. Students are encouraged to be creative in their submissions, and we welcome any written piece of 500 words or less- poem, essay, story, interview, etc.- that reflects the theme. Entries are due postmarked February 8, 2008.

Tindall & Foster, P.C. is sponsoring the Austin Area local contest, “Celebrate America” writing contest. There will be prizes awarded at the local level for the top three entries, schools with the most participation, and classroom prizes. The Austin Area essay submissions will be reviewed by a distinguished panel of Austin judges, including government officials, judges, and journalist.

The winning entry of the Austin Area will be submitted to the American Immigration Foundation (AILF) for review by the national contest judges, including U.S. senators and national journalist. The National Contest winner and his/her parents will be invited to the AILF Annual Benefit Dinner, where the winner will read the winning essay and receive a prize package.
