Family Law

Tindall & Foster, P.C. offers a wide range of legal services for clients in need of family law assistance. This area of law requires experience, wisdom, and sound judgment, in a professional atmosphere of confidence and discretion.

Our Family Law Section can assist you in the following areas:

  • Collaborative Law  As family law parties look for ways to resolve their disputes away from a litigious environment, Tindall & Foster attorneys are trained in collaborative law, a client focused settlement process that minimizes the adverse impact of divorce and helps families transition with mutual respect and dignity.
  • Divorce Litigation
We have been representing clients in divorce litigation for over 30 years. Harry L. Tindall has been Board Certified in Family Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization since 1975 and Angela Pence England has been board certified since 2000. Our firm handles cases ranging from complex property issues to simple dissolutions.
  • Custody Litigation
Disputes regarding the custody of children, including requests for relocation, can be extremely traumatic for the family. This type of litigation requires experience and judgment. Our firm offers both.
  • Child Support
Setting and collecting child support is critical to the successful handling of family law cases. Harry L. Tindall served on the U.S. Commission on Interstate Child Support. We offer a wealth of experience and knowledge to assist clients in these matters.
  • Modification
Divorce decrees are often modified to change custody, visitation, and child support.
  • Paternity
Approximately 30% of all children in the United States are born to single mothers. We have been prosecuting and defending paternity cases for more than 20 years. Harry L. Tindall served as the Chair of the drafting committee for the Uniform Parentage Act, adopted by Texas in 2001.
  • Premarital and Marital Property Agreements
Increasingly used by couples to protect assets and to resolve issues between themselves, premarital and martial property agreements can prevent surprises in the event of divorce.
  • Nonmarital Agreements
Couples living in an unmarried relationship can and often fall afoul of the Texas "common law" marriage. A nonmarital agreement can avoid this unexpected problem.
  • Mediation/Arbitration
Harry L. Tindall is both an experienced mediator and arbitrator and is certified by the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. Angela Pence England is also an experienced mediator of family law matters.
  • Adoptions
We offer experience to help couples complete the legal adoption of children. However, we do not find children nor place children for adoption.
  • Legislation
We offer experience and assistance to determine legislative history of family law in Texas.
  • Litigation Support
We provide assistance to other attorneys serving as as expert witnesses, consultants on multi-state litigation, and as special co-counsel.
