Harry L. Tindall & Angela Pence England
are in the
midst of publishing the 17th Edition of Sampson and
Tindall's Texas Family Code Annotated, and annual review
of Texas Family Law co-authored with Jack Sampson.
Harry L. Tindall
has been reappointed as one of Texas's Uniform Law
Commissioners. As a Commissioner, he will continue to serve
as Chair of the Joint Editorial Board - Family Law, a
project of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, the
American Bar Association Family Law Section, and NCCUSL. He
previously served as Chair of the drafting committee for the
Uniform Parentage Act (2000), helping secure its passage in
Texas in 2001. He is currently working on the Uniform Act
for the Representation of Children and has also served on
the Uniform Child Witness Act drafting committee.
Angela
Pence England
returns as an adjunct professor at
South Texas College of Law teaching marital property in the
fall of 2007. She has been teaching marital property since Fall
of 2005 at her alma mater.
Angela
Pence England
has been accepted as a fellow of the
American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, a nation-wide
organization of approximately 1600 family law attorneys in
50 states.
Harry L. Tindall and
Angela
Pence England
will be again named Super Lawyers in November 2007's Texas
Monthly. They were also both named among Houston's Top
Family Law Attorneys by H Magazine.
Angela
Pence England
will serve as the Secretary for
the Burta Rhoads Raborne Family Law Inns of Court for the
2006-2007 bar year. Harry and Angela are both members of
the organization which focuses on mentoring of attorneys.
Angela
Pence England is
currently serving as Chair of the Houston Bar
Association's Collaborative Law Section. During
her tenure, she hopes to lead the section in the promotion
of the collaborative idea for divorce settlement to the
Houston area public.
Angela
Pence England
is a director of the Texas
Academy of Family Law Specialists, a state wide organization
of attorneys and legal assistants board certified in family
law.
Harry L. Tindall
has been elected to the advisory board of the International
Academy of Collaborative Professionals. He is also serving
as Treasurer of the Collaborative Law Institute of Texas.
Harry and Angela, along with
both family law legal assistants, were charter members of
this state-wide organization dedicated to the promotion of
the collaborative law process.
Angela
Pence England
chaired the planning committee
for the Family Law Conference, a two-day seminar sponsored
by South Texas College of Law which will be held at the law
school on February 7-8, 2007.
Ana Galvan and Karen Howard,
paralegals of the firm, also served on that committee.
Angela Pence
England
chaired the Houston Bar
Associations Family Law Institute, a seminar offerred on the
afternoons of March 23 and March 30, 2007. She also
spoke on Unique Provisions in Parenting Plans.
Harry L. Tindall
spoke on the 2007 Legislative changes to the Texas Family
Code at the seminar.
